GRAPE-NUT BREAD

Ingredients

  • 1 c. Grape Nuts
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten.
  • 1-3/4 c. sugar.
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

  • Add dry ingredients to first mixture. Pour into two loaf pans (or three small ones.) Bake at 325 for about 1 hour.

Notes

This is a old recipe that I found in one of mom's old recipe books. After makeing it the first time I recognized it as one that my grandmother had made very often when I was growing up. Brings back good memories.
