Great Chocolate Sheath Cake with Frosting

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
ICING
1/4 cup cocoa
6 tablespoons buttermilk
1 box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans, chopped


FOR CAKE: Sift the flour and sugar together. In a saucepan, melt the butter and cocoa and cook until it boils. Pour over the flour and sugar, add the buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Pour into a greased 9x13" baking pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. About 10 minutes before the cake is done, make the icing, and pour over the cake as soon as the cake comes out of the oven.



ICING: Melt the butter and cocoa together then add the buttermilk. Bring to a boil and add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts.



Frost cake as soon as the cake comes out of the oven.
