GREEN CHILE STEW

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh or frozen: roasted, peeled and chopped mild green chile
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 c. of diced tomatoes
  • 3 cloves of cushed garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 6 tbsps. flour
  • water

Directions

  • Brown the ground beef, drain fat into large pot. Saute the garlic in the fat a minute, add flour and stir until browned. Add the green chile, ground beef, tomatoes, cumin and salt to taste. Add enough water to cover and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes.
