  • 1 big green pepper (paprika)
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp fresh or 3-4 tsp dried Cilantro (koriander)
  • some Olive oil for frying
  • 250 g long grain rice, I love Basmati
  • and double the volume of chicken stock


  • cut the paprika and onion very small, I like to do it in my kitchen helper. Put it in the warm oil in a pot, add the dried chilantro and fry for a couple of minutes. Then add the Rice and fry til they smell lovely, then add the chicken stock. Wait til it starts to boil, then turn off the heat and let set. Can easily be left so til the main dish is ready.
