Grilled Texas Pattie Melt

Serves 4 | Prep Time | Cook Time


1 large onion, chopped finely
16 slices rye bread
margarine, softened
1 1/2 lb ground meat
2 tbsp steak sauce
2 tsp Tony's seansoning
8 slices Swiss cheese
4 Hamburger buns

In a medium nonstick pan over medium heat, sauté onions and set aside. Mix ground meat, steak sauce and make 4 buger patties. Sprinkle both sides with Tony's and grill til done.

Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place buttered side down on grill. Place burger on 4 of the slices of bread, top with onions. Top with remaining bread,with two pieces of cheese. Grill until the cheese is melted. Put cheese topped bread on top of onion pattie. Remove from grill and cut in half. Makes 4 servings.
