HAYASHI'S CELERIAC AND CARROT KIMPIRA

Ingredients

½ Celeriac - remove all the black skin and shred
2 Carrots - peel and shred
¼ Cup soy sauce
¼ Cooking Japanese sake
3 table spoon sugar
Spoonful honey
3 table spoon sesame oil
Shichimi pepper (Japanese chili mix) (optional)
3 table spoon vegetable oil


1. Heat vegetable oil in a large saute pan. Add shredded celeriac and carrots. Cook until soften.


2. Add sugar, soy sauce, and cooking sake. Cook a few more minutes.


3. Add sesame oil and Shichimi pepper if you would like it spicy.


4. After cooling down to let sauce absorb, the taste becomes better.
