HAMBURGER MEAT ROLL

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger meat - browned and fat drained
  • 2 t grated ginger
  • 1 t soy sauce
  • 1/4 c caramelized onion
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 T roasted garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1 package nori sheets
  • cornstarch
  • canola oil for frying

Directions

  • Mix together hamburger, ginger, soy sauce, onion, salt, garlic, and egg.
  • Take nori and sprinkle cornstarch very thinly on each sheet
  • Spread meat mixture very thinly on each sheet, then spread very thin layer of rice, leaving 1" empty
  • Roll up each one like sushi, and seal with water
  • Heat oil to 350 degrees, gently put roll in hot oil and fry, rolling to cook evenly, about 5 minutes per roll
  • Remove from oil and drain on cooling rack.
  • Cut into 1" pieces to serve

Notes

These are kind of like hamburger sushi - Kind of weird, but weirdly addictive
