Hamburger Meat roll

Serves 8-10 | Prep Time 30 | Cook Time 20

Ingredients

1 lb hamburger meat - browned and fat drained
2 t grated ginger
1 t soy sauce
1/4 c caramelized onion
1 t salt
1 T roasted garlic
1 egg
2 cups cooked brown rice
1 package nori sheets
cornstarch
canola oil for frying


Mix together hamburger, ginger, soy sauce, onion, salt, garlic, and egg.


Take nori and sprinkle cornstarch very thinly on each sheet


Spread meat mixture very thinly on each sheet, then spread very thin layer of rice, leaving 1" empty


Roll up each one like sushi, and seal with water


Heat oil to 350 degrees, gently put roll in hot oil and fry, rolling to cook evenly, about 5 minutes per roll


Remove from oil and drain on cooling rack.


Cut into 1" pieces to serve

These are kind of like hamburger sushi - Kind of weird, but weirdly addictive
