HERBED BEER BREAD
INGREDIENTS
- Mix:
- 2 3/4 cup flour
- 2 T. sugar
- 2 T. Baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- pinch dill
- For Bread:
- 1 recipe mix
- 1 can beer
- 1 tsp. butter melted
DIRECTIONS
Mix together all ingredients for mix (can be stored at room temerature 1 month)
Place in a large bowl and stir in beer with wooden spoon just until mixed. Scrape into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350F 45-50 minutes. Remove from pan and brush with melted butter.
An ideal gift: Place mix, can of beer and recipe in a loaf pan. Wrap with cellaphane or netting, and add a pretty bow.
