HERBED BEER BREAD

Ingredients

  • Mix:
  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 2 T. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • pinch dill
  • For Bread:
  • 1 recipe mix
  • 1 can beer
  • 1 tsp. butter melted

Directions

  • Mix together all ingredients for mix (can be stored at room temerature 1 month)
  • Place in a large bowl and stir in beer with wooden spoon just until mixed. Scrape into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350F 45-50 minutes. Remove from pan and brush with melted butter.
  • An ideal gift: Place mix, can of beer and recipe in a loaf pan. Wrap with cellaphane or netting, and add a pretty bow.
