- 1/2 c shortning
- 3/4 brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c molasses
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts
- cream shortening and brown sugar. add eggs. add molasses.
- stir in flour,cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves and salt.
- stir in raisins and nuts.
- spread into greased 13x9x2 pan. bake 350 for 30 min
