Why I Love This Recipe

From Terri's Kitchen (adapted from a member of a women's group a long, long time ago!)


Ingredients You'll Need

Duncan Hines Deep Chocolate Cake mix
5 T flour
1 1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
2-3 T hot water
3 cups powdered sugar
1 egg
1 stick margarine


Directions

Grease and flour 15x13 jelly roll pan


Mix Duncan Hines Deep Choc Cake mix - follow box instructions; bake and cool.


Mix in pan and heat until thick the 5 T flour and milk. Set aside.


Heat in a bowl the Crisco, margarine, sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy, add in flour mixture. Ice the cooled cake. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.


Heat the unsweetened chocolate, 1 tsp vanilla, hot water; adding the powdered sugar, beaten egg and margarine. Once mixed, spread quickly on cooled cake as it hardens fast.
