Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb lard
  • 1 stick of cinnamon boiled in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes (cinnamon 'tea')

Directions

  • * In bowl, include flour, sugar, baking powder and ground cinnamon
  • * Mix well, then add lard and egg; mix again until it comes to a dough
  • * If dough does not stay together, add the cinnamon tea a little at a time until it forms a dough
  • * Spread out with rolling pin and roll out
  • * Cut to desired shapes
  • * Place in 250° oven and bake until lightly browned
  • * Remove and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon/sugar
