Why I Love This Recipe

I got this recipe from my sister-in-law. It is a big hit with kids and adults!

Ingredients You'll Need

Cookies:
2 boxes Devil's Food cake mix
1 and 1/2 cup shortening
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla

Cream Cheese Frosting:
3 ounces of cream cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Mix all the ingredients for the cookies together until well blended. (We use our hands to knead it!)

Roll into small 2 inch balls and place far apart on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Cookies will flatten.

Cool completely and make frosting.

Cream the softened butter and cream cheese together, then add the powdered sugar and vanilla.

You may need to add just a teaspoon or two of milk if the frosting is too stiff.

Frost the bottom of one cookie, and then place another on the frosting like an Oreo sandwich.
