Why I Love This Recipe

I’m going to share with you an easy-to-make chocolate recipe. This chocolate is also raw and vegan, it requires only 3 ingredients and it’s great as a glaze. You can pour it into a mold, add nuts and shredded coconut or use it to make chocolate-covered fruits or truffles.

Of course, you can just melt some chocolate, but it’s always more fun to make it yourself, and this way, you have more control on the ingredients. Plus, I love the coconut and cacao combination.

Ingredients You'll Need

½ cup of melted coconut oil (or cocoa butter)

2/3 cup of cocoa or cacao powder

Sweetener of your choice

Directions

Since coconut oil melts at about 30-40 degrees, I don’t like melting it in the microwave or on the stove. I just heat up a bowl of water in the microwave and put my bowl with the coconut oil over that bowl. It’s something like a double boiler, but you don’t have to sweat near the stove. :)

Just give your coconut oil a stir and it will melt in seconds. Add the sweetener you chose and your cocoa or cacao powder and whisk the mixture until everything is well combined.

Remove it from the bowl with hot water and you can pour it into a mold or dip some strawberries in the delicious chocolate mixture.
