Honey-glazed Chicken

Serves 10 or more | Prep Time 90 minutes | Cook Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

main ingredients :

1 kg Chicken ( cut into smaller pieces)
2 cups Flour
1 Egg (beaten)

Marinating the Chicken :

1 1/2 tsp garlic paste
1 1/2 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garam masala powder
2 tbsp sour yogurt
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp cayenne pepper flakes
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil ( mustard oil recommended)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tsp tamarind juice (optional)
salt to taste


Caramelizing :

1 cup sugar
3 tbsp water
1 1/2 tsp honey
1/2 cup lemon juice
thai lemon grass (optional)


Mix all the marinating ingredients and wrap the bowl with a plastic wrap and refrigerate the chicken for around 1 hour.


Heat a frying pan .


Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture and roll in the flour bed and fry till the chicken turns into a medium brown shade.


Deep fry all the chicken pieces.


Soak the excess oil off.


In another frying pan, pour the sugar and stir it and add water and honey.


Put the fried chicken pieces and toss it with the lemongrass.


Serve hot with garlic sauce.
