4 rounded Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons of golden syrup
1 level teaspoon of bicarbonate soda
Grease cake tin. Place golden syrup and sugar into the saucepan (use a warm spoon to measure syrup). Place on low heat and bring to a slow boil while stirring carefully. Boil on low heat for twelve minutes, keep stirring to stop it from sticking. Carefully remove from stove and add bicarbonate soda stirring quickly. (THIS MIXTURE IS VERY HOT, HANDLE WITH CARE). Quickly pour into greased tin. Let cool and break into pieces.
