Hot Clam Dip
1 (6 – 8) ounce can chopped clams
1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
1 tsp. oregano
1 tablespoon. fresh parsley minced
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 large onion minced (1 cup)
3/4 cup PLAIN bread crumbs
dash red pepper flakes
sauté onion in butter until transparent.
Add oregano, garlic powder and lemon juice. Remove from heat.
Add can of clams WITH the clam juice.
Stir in bread crumbs.
Mix in parsley.
Add red pepper flakes.
Bake 350 oven for 30 minutes.
Best with Ritz crackers.
I usually end up sprinkling a bit extra of the fresh parsley in once everything is mixed together.
Use your judgment on how much.
Make at least 2 recipes, one is never enough.
