Hot Italian Dates

Ingredients

18 pitted medjool dates, split
1 Tbs olive oil
6-oz of gorgonzola cheese
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
1 cup freshly grated parm cheese
1/2 pound of Italian Ham, sliced thin( May use less, especially if the dates are small.)


Oven set at 375. Coat each date with a little bit of the olive oil. Gently open each date without splitting.Set aside. In a medium bowl combine 1 cup of the breadcrumbs with 1 cup of the freshly grated parm cheese. Mix well and set aside.


Place 1-1-1/2 tsp of the gorgonzola cheese in the center of the date.


Press back together and roll the stuffed date in the breadcrumb mixture then place the crumb coated date onto a piece of ham roll to seal and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.


Bake for about 10-12 minutes.


If you notice that the dates have not grabbed much breadcrumbs, line the ham slice with 1 Tbs of the breadcrumb mixture before wrapping up the date.
