Hummus

This is my time tested hummus recipe. I love hummus and searched for recipes all over the place. This is a combination of the best of what I found and its super healthy:

 


INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 2
  • Servings: 4
  • Preparation Time: 10
  • 1 can chickpeas -use some of the liquid for a thinner consistency
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • dash of lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

Throw it all in a blender or food processer and blend together.


Let chill before serving

Want a variety? why not try the Hummus with Tahineh? Just add some Tahineh (Sesame seeds sauce)er the Hummus i know needs an additional ingredient which is Tahineh (Sesame seeds sauce). Another version of your recipe is just to mix the ingredients you mentioned without blending it and it will be called Hummus Balilah. Hummus being the word for chickpeas in Arabic yet most of the times used to describe the hummus with tahineh.
