Ice Cream Rum Raisin Topping

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup raisins or currants
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. rum extract

DIRECTIONS

Combine raisins and water in a medium sized saucepan. Bring to boiling, lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Combine sugar and cornstarch and stir into mixture. Stir and cook until clear, about 5 minutes. Stir in extract then refrigerate for several hours
