ITALIAN LASAGNA ROLLS
Italian Lasagna Rolls
INGREDIENTS
- Creamy Tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
- 1 medium sized onion, chopped
- salt
- 2 10-ounce packed frozen chopped spinach chopped and squeezed dry
- 1 15 to 16 ounce container of ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 16 ounce package lasagna noodles
- 12 noodles
- 1/8 ounce package mozzarella cheese shredded (2 cups)
DIRECTIONS
prepare creamy tomato sauce
In pan cook over high heat ground beef, onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt stirring frequently until all pan juices evaporate and meat is well browned
In a medium bowl with fork mix spinach,ricotta cheese,parmesan cheese,dried basil leaves,eggs, 1/4 teaspoon salt set aside
prepare lasagna noodles and drain
preheat oven to 375 divide spinach and ground beef mixtures into 12 portions in 4 quart baking dish spread 1 cup creamy tomato sauce lay a lasagna noodle flat on work surface spread a portion of spinach mixture over lasagna noodle top with ground beef mixture roll noodle around filling jelly roll fashion place up right in baking dish so filling shows repeat until all lasagna noodles are filled spoon creamy tomato sauce over and around Lasagna Rolls
tuck mozzarella cheese among top of lasagna rolls
cover and bake 50 to 60 minutes until hot and bubbly
