JALAPENO HUSH PUPPIES
Jalapeno Hush Puppies

INGREDIENTS
- Servings: 18 pcs
- 1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 cup bleached all purpose flour
- 1ts salt
- 1ts hot sauce
- 1/4 cup minced yellow onions
- 2 fresh jalapenos, seed and minced
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- Adobo for taste (optional)
- veg oil for frying
DIRECTIONS
Combine the cornmeal, flour and baking powder, salt, hot sauce, onion and jalapenos in a med size bowl and mix well. Add eggs and milk, mix again,Heat 4 inches of oil in a large heavy deep pot or electric fryer to 360 degrees. Drop in the battera heaping Tbs at a time, fry 6 at a time. When the hush puppies pop to the surface, roll them around in the oil with a slotted spoon to brown them evenly. Remove and drain well on paper towels. Season and serve.
