JAN'S NANA'S LEMON POPPYSEED SHORTBREAD

 

  • Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Servings: 24
  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flous
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbls. lemon zest
  • 2 Tbls. poppy seeds

Directions

  • Cream butter, vanilla, and sugar
  • Add flour, mixing well
  • Add zest and poppy seeds, mixing until evenly incorporated
  • Pat into a 1/4 inch circle and cut into triangles
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet lined with parchment
  • Prick tops with a fork and bake at 300 degrees for 25-30 minutes
