Why I Love This Recipe

This receipe came from my mother-in-law. I like to eat it with vanilla ice-cream and cinnamon.

To make this lower in fat, you can use a sugar substitue for the sugar. Applesauce instead of oil and egg beaters for the eggs.


Ingredients You'll Need

Batter
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
4 eggs
3tsp baking powder
1/2 cup orange juice

Filling
4 large apples
1 tsp cinnamon
4 tsp sugar


Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.


Place batter ingredients in bowl and mix for 10 minutes on low speed.


Peel and cut the apples. Mix in a bowl with the cinnamon and sugar.


In a well greased tube pan pour in half the batter. Then add half the apples. Add the remaining batter. Then add the remaining apples. Bake in oven for 1 hour. Let cool and enjoy!
