Why I Love This Recipe

Recipe Backstory: It’s been in my family for 3 generations and we make every holiday. One physical change is the pie rises when you cook it. A chemical change would be the apples get golden brown. Also another one would be the bottom of the pie does to. One last one would be that the top of the pie does too as seen in the picture.

Ingredients You'll Need

6 apples, peeled and cut into pieces(heterogeneous mixture)

1 Tablespoon of cinnamon(homogeneous mixture)

1 Tablespoon Sugar(pure substance-C12H22O11)

1 cup of flour(homogeneous mixture)

1/2 cup of melted butter(heterogeneous mixture)

1 egg(Heterogeneous mixture)

3/4 cup of sugar(pure substance-C12H22O11)


Directions

Heat the oven to 350 F. Fill a pie plate with the apples and sprinkle the


tablespoons of cinnamon and sugar over the apples. In a separate bowl beat the egg and mix it with the butter, sugar, then the flour. Pour the mixture over the apples. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
