KARACA FAMILY'S POACA (Bread with feta cheese)
250gr room temp butter
50ml olive oil
3 heaping table spoons of full fat yoghurt
1 coffee spoon of baking powder
pinch of salt
500-600 gr flour
Feta cheese, bunch of parsley, bunch of dill, egg white
Egg yolk, sesame seeds, nigella (optional)
Put all the ingredients together, adding the flour little by little.
Prepare a dough, it shouldn’t be sticky or it shouldn’t be a hard dough.
Cover and leave for at least two hours.
You can also prepare the dough over night and put in the refrigerator.
Take small balls from the dough, put the feta ingredient inside and cover the dough.
Put all in the baking tray.
Brush the breads with the egg yolk, put the sesame and the nigella seeds on top.
Alternative: If you don’t like feta cheese, you can put olive paste, or cooked minced meat with onion, potato puree or sausages. You can create your own inside.
