KATHIE'S PUMPKIN BREAD

Ingredients

  • 10 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 6 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 12 eggs
  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 cups pureed pumpkin
  • 3 cups walnuts, chopped (optional)
  • 3 cups raisins

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients well in a large stainless steel bowl. Grease pans with vegetable shortening. Bake at 325ºF for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
