Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

3 pounds ricotta
2 pounds sugar
2 dozen eggs
rind of an orange
rind of a tangerine
rind of a lemon
2 shot glasses Anisette
1/2 pound chocolate, grated (I use bittersweet)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1 quart milk


Directions

Beat eggs with electric mixer in large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients one at a time and mix well. Pour mixture in large butter baking pan, 10 x 15 x 2. Bake in oven 325ºF for at least 2 - 3 hours. When center is dry (test with a toothpick) remove from oven and let cool. Cut into squares and serve with a good cup of demitasse.
