4 lbs beef cut into 1 inch cubes
2 Tablespoons butter
2 onions sliced
1 lb mushrooms sliced
¼ cup flour
½ cup dry red wine
1 can onion soup (I use Lipton’s Onion Soup mix)
½ cup water. (I use one cup because of the dry soup mix)
Pepper and garlic to taste.
Sauté beef in butter. Add onions and mushrooms sauté. Sprinkle with flour.
Stir in wine, soup, and water.
Bake at 325º covered for 1 ½ - 3 hours.
Serve over rice or noodles.
