Backstory

Lindseycakes basic vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Sometimes simple tastes are the most enjoyable.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  • Cupcakes:
  • Cream the sugar and butter. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, milk.
  • Pour into lined cupcake pan.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes.
  • Let cool. Frost.
  • Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:
  • Cream butter and sugar. Add milk and vanilla. Mix until right consistency.
