Low Country Boil

Serves 4 to 6 | Prep Time 30 | Cook Time 30


Old Bay Crab Boil
5 Pounds of small Red Potatoes
4 - 16 ounce packages of cooked Kielbase Sausage cut into 1.5 inch pieces
10 ears of fresh yellow sweet corn, husks and silks removed and cut into 2 inch pieces
5 pounds of crab legs
6 pounds of shrimp, peeled and deveined (whole crawfish can be used)

Heat a large pot of water over an outdoor cooker.

Add Old Bay Seasoning to taste, and bring to a boil.

Add potatoes, and sausage, and cook for about 12 minutes.

Add the corn and crab; cook for another 5 minutes.

Then add the shrimp when everything else is almost done.

Cook for another 5 or 6 minutes.

Drain off the water and pour the contents out onto a picnic table covered with newspaper. Grab your favorite beer and enjoy!

This recipe comes from the low country of South Carolina and is not as spicy as its cousin the Louisiana boils.
