Why I Love This Recipe

This is my favourite dessert recipes that I use at home, even my cousins agree. There is a lot of dairy involved however so we usually dish out small portions (except at parties). This doesn't have ideal measurements as we use a lot of packets and cartons.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 packs chocolate chip cookies/biscuits
about 1/2 pint milk
1 1/2 large carton of custard
1 carton of double/whipping cream
1/2 large bar of milk chocolate
chocolate curls, decoration

1. Melt chocolate

2. Save about 2 large tbsp. of custard to a medium bowl

3. Add remaining custard to melted chocolate

4. Stir until chocolate is evenly mixed into the custard

5. Pour milk into a small bowl

6. Dip cookies fully into milk to create a layer in a trifle dish

7. Spoon on a thin layer of chocolate custard

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7, ending in a cookie layer leaving room for cream topping

9. Whip cream with saved custard until thick

10. Gently spoon cream on top of trifle (use back of a small spoon to create peaks)

11. Sprinkle on chocolate curls

12. Keep chilled until serving
