INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 45
  • Servings: 6 - 8
  • Preparation Time: 60
  • 1 lbs feta cheese
  • 1 lbs kefir cheese
  • 1 cup grated Provalone cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 half red Spanish onion, chopped
  • 1 bunch (1 cup) fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 cup grated Romano cheese

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees


Shave off top of feta cheese, reserve for topping


Crumble the rest of the feta cheese in a large bowl


Add the kefir cheese, blend with mixer


Add the eggs and beat with a mixer


Add the milk, beat lightly


Add the grated provolone, stir in mixture


Add half of the chopped red pepper, spanish onion and dill stir in mixutre


Pour into greased 12” or 10” cast iron skillet


Add the remaing toppings; feta cheese, red pepper, Spanish onion, dill, Romano cheese


Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour


Until the top rises and gets a light golden color


Serves 6 to 8, can be used as a main dish or appetizer, and can be served hot or cold.
