MAPLE BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp maple flavoring
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • Confectioners' sugar

Directions

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar
  • Add the eggs, one at a time
  • Beat well after each addition
  • Beat in the maple flavoring
  • Combine the flour and baking powder
  • Add to the egg mixture
  • Stir in the walnuts
  • Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan
  • Bake at 350 F for 27-32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean
  • Cool
  • Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired
