Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon almond extract
Garnish:
1 pkg. (1 oz.) pre-melted unsweetened baking chocolate


Directions

Heat oven to 325ºF. Put cream cheese in an ungreased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Mash with fork, then add sugar, flour and salt and stir to mix well. Add eggs, sour cream and almond extract; mix briskly with fork until well blended. Using a rubber spatula, scrape any ingredients clinging to sides, corners and bottom of pan into batter. Cut off a small corner of pre-melted chocolate packet; squeeze thin lines of chocolate, about I inch apart, onto the batter. Draw the tip of a knife across the lines at equal intervals to get a marbleized effect. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack. Cut into 9 squares.
