Marshmallow Fondant

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 pounds powdered sugar
  • Melt marshmallows in microwae or in a double boiler. combine water and knead in sugar until the dough is not sticky. I use my dough hook but you can probably use your hands. You may not need all the sugar.
  • let sit until cool.
  • Store wrapped in airtight container
  • Reheat in microwave to use it if it gets hard

DIRECTIONS

Notes Hardens on outside stays soft on the inside


For chocolate, add 1 oz melted chocolate and 1 tablespoon for small recipe


may add flavoring, 1 tablespoon candy melts, or any type


can roll very thin without tearing


crisco on your hands may help handling


if string just add a touch more water and heart


may be used for roses,leaves...anything


do not use marshmellow cream


can be refrigerated


doesn't crack


doesn't tear like regular fondant

thanks for sharing this recipe! i have tried it as my first try for fondant and it went very good!! its not as too sweet and as too hard for regular fondants and i love eating it coz its a bit chewy..
