This cheese dip is one of my husband's specialties. It is easy to make and is great for parties!


  • 1 block Velveeta cheese
  • 1 16 oz.jar of salsa
  • 1/2 lb. ground meat
  • hot sauce, salt, and pepper to taste


  • 1.Brown the meat in a skillet
  • 2.Melt the cheese in a pot on stove
  • 3.When cheese is fully melted, add the salsa and stir
  • 4.Continue stirring so cheese doesn't burn
  • 5.Gradually add the meat to cheese/salsa mixture
  • 6. Stir in hot sauce, salt and pepper for flavor
  • Serve in a serving dish/bowl with tortilla chips
