Mexican Tea Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp water
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans
Garnish: powdered sugar
Using an electric mixer on medium speed, blend together the butter and powdered sugar.
Add the vanilla, water, and flour.
Stir in the pecans.
Shape the dough in walnut-size balls.
Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 300 F for 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven.
While the cookies are still hot, roll in the additional powdered sugar.
When cool, roll again in the powdered sugar.
