Why I Love This Recipe
My recipe but did get the Idea of making slices in meat from a post on pinterest. This way you don't have to pound the meat and the cheese stays inside :)
Ingredients You'll Need
Boneless skinless Chicken breasts (largest you can find)
Deli sliced ham (I used honey roasted thin sliced)
Swiss cheese slices
Panko seasoned bread crumbs
Eggs
Flour
Butter
Garlic powder
Salt
Vegetable oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F
Wash chicken and set on plate
Make a cut in the middle of the chicken be careful not to go through any of the sides! But make the slice big enough to put the ham and cheese in.
For each breast put dwn 1 slice of ham and top it w/ cheese slice and roll it up
Stick ham and cheese roll in the slice in the chicken push it dwn a lil so you can close the end w/out any sticking out
After they're all filled pat dry w/ paper towel and set on dry plate
In a cup or small bowl mix about 3 TBS butter w/ about 5 shakes garlic powder and a couple shakes of salt mix well (you can make up more if you need it or add more garlic powder if you like more)
Smear butter mix all over chicken
Coat in flour
Coat in egg
Coat in bread crumbs until well coated
Put in oiled baking pan and add a few shakes of salt
Bake at 325F turning when needed to brown all sides
Cook 'till heated through
*NOTE: Can add more oil if needed so it don't burn
