"My son's favorite thing that I make :)"

Serves | Prep Time | Cook Time

Ingredients

2 LBS frozen hamburger
3 cans Delmonte original flavor stewed tomato's
3 cans dark red kidney beans (strained)
3 cans campbells tomato soup
2 yellow cooking onions (cut in bite size chunks)
1-2 large green bell pepper (cut in bite size chunks)
1 stalk celery (cut in bite size chunks)
2-3 TBS chili powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne powder
About 3-4 shakes of garlic powder
Pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper seeds (like 3-4 seeds)
small pinch of sugar (if you've added a 1/8 tsp you've added too much!!!)


Put frozen hamburger in pan w/ about 1/2 - 1 cup water


Fry meat as side gets done scrape it off in chunks


Brown, Strain and return to pan


Add onions, peppers and celery cook until veggies are soft


Add Chili powder, pepper, cayenne powder, garlic powder and Cayenne seeds toss 'til blended in and meat well coated


Add stewed Tomatoes and pinch of sugar sprinkled over tomatoes heat 'till boiling


Add kidney beans and heat 'till they're cooked through


Add Tomato soup heat 'till boiling


Turn off heat and let set about 15-20 mins for flavors to blend before serving


*NOTE stir often 1 small bean burns and you ruin the whole batch!!!

saltine crackers, bread and butter, cornbread,


Notes

This basic recipe came from my Grandmother through my mother and then to me. But like always I had to change it ever so slightly to make it my own by making it chunky. Everybody always asks how do you make the hamburger chunky? Simple make sure the meat is frozen when you put it in the pan :) Good for cold days (my sons fav recipe but he refuses to eat it w/out saltine crackers lol)
