Ingredients You'll Need
Batter:
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 T cocoa
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 T. cooking oil
1 t. vanilla
Top liquid mix:
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. baking cocoa
1 1/4 c. hot water
Directions
Stir together flour, sugar 2 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add milk, oil and vanilla and stir until smooth. Spread batter smoothly into greased 8" round or square microwave safe dish. Combine brown sugar, 1/4 c. cocoa and hot water; stir until well mixed. gently pour this cocoa mixture over the batter. Microwave on high for 7 minutes, or until the center is clean to the toothpick test. Turn dish once during the cooking period. Since microwaves have different strengths, watch carefully, as it might bubble over. I often use a lid.
