Mississippi Mud Cake

½ cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
¾ cup flour
3 tablespoons cocoa
Pinch of salt
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 bag miniature marshmallows

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.

2. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs.

3. Combine flour, cocoa, and salt; sift.

4. Combine sifted mixture with creamed mixture; mix to a smooth consistency.

5. Pour mixture into a 9” x 13” cake pan and sprinkle nuts on top; bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

6. Remove cake from oven and sprinkle marshmallows on top.

7. Turn off oven and return cake to oven until marshmallows melt.

8. Cool cake for 2 to 3 hours.


1 box powdered sugar

4 tablespoons cocoa

½ cup butter, softened

Milk to smooth

1. Combine powdered sugar and cocoa; sift.

2. Add butter to mixture and blend well.

3. Add enough milk for s smooth consistency.

4. Drizzle over top of cake.
