Mom's Best Chili
Why I Love This Recipe
My mom would cook up a pot of chili and let it simmer on the stove. She didn't write the recipe down and it took years of trial and error for me to come up with a similar recipe. Mom passed in 1975 which made it difficult to get the recipe. This makes a huge pot of chili, enough for a large family.
Ingredients You'll Need
4 cans Dark Red Kidney Beans
4 cans Light Red Kidney Beans
1 can V8 juice
1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
1 large onion, diced, or a handful of dried onions
4 whole cloves
2 pkgs McCormick Chili Seasoning
Brown and drain the ground beef.
In a large stew pot, combine the 8 cans of beans (do not drain).
Add the V8 juice, onions, cloves and seasonings.
Simmer until thoroughly warm.
Tastes great with corn chips!
