BackstoryMy mom loved to make this easy cobbler with whatever fruit was in season. She thought pie crust was too much trouble so we ate lots of cobblers.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 cups fruit, peeled and sliced when necessary(peaches, apples, pears, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, plums, etc.)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Whisk together the sugar, flour and milk. Add the melted butter. Pour the batter into a buttered 12x8 baking dish. Sprinkle the fruit over the top of the batter. Sprinkle with more sugar, if desired.
- Bake at 350 degress for 50-60 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm.
