My mom loved to make this easy cobbler with whatever fruit was in season. She thought pie crust was too much trouble so we ate lots of cobblers.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups fruit, peeled and sliced when necessary(peaches, apples, pears, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, plums, etc.)

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Whisk together the sugar, flour and milk. Add the melted butter. Pour the batter into a buttered 12x8 baking dish. Sprinkle the fruit over the top of the batter. Sprinkle with more sugar, if desired.
  • Bake at 350 degress for 50-60 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm.
