Mom's Favorite Apple Pie

Apple Pie Filling
6 to 8 apples
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup water
Apple Pie Double Crust
2 cups flour
12 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk
5 to 7 tablespoons cold water

Peel, core, and slice apples

Coat apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon

Set mixture aside

Mix flour, salt and butter until dough resembles pebbles

Add water until dough is moist and pulls together

Divide dough in half

Butter and dust a pie pan

Roll out one half of the dough to fit pie pan

Pour in apple slices

Dot apple slices with butter

Roll out other half of dough and place on top of apple slices

Wet edges with cold water and pinch together

Brush top with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon

Bake at 350

My mom's favorite pie was apple pie. Whatever the meal was, She would advise me to save room for dessert.
