MOM'S MAC NUT JELLO

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2/3 c chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1 c flour
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 small box lemon jello
  • 1 c hot water
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 pt whipping cream
  • 2 c hot water
  • 2 c ice
  • 3 small boxes strawberry jello

Directions

  • Cream sugar and butter then add flour and nuts
  • Press into a 9x12 pyrex pan
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown
  • Let cool
  • Dissolve lemon jello in 1 cup hot water.
  • Cream together cream cheese and sugar and mix into jello, let cool
  • Add whipping cream, mixing well
  • Pour onto cooled crust
  • Chill for 40 minutes
  • Dissolve strawberry jello in 2 cups hot water, then add ice to help cool quicker
  • Pour over center layer and chill overnightq=

Notes

I have never seen another jello like this one - whenever my mom makes it, you can never stop at just one piece!
