BackstoryMy wonderful mother-in law Lou made this for the holidays. It was my ex husbands favorite. It was that one dish that only she made and it was moms. I never got the recipe because she made it. After she passed away my ex asked me if I could make it for Christmas dinner in memory of her. It was then that I realized I never got it. When she passed on I asked the family if I could have all her recipes. There were boxes and boxes of books, hand written notes, clip outs, and such. I went through every single one three times looking for it. I called everyone she knew to see if maybe they had it. No one did. I really felt bad for my husband cause a piece of her tradition was gone. So I said a little prayer to her asking her to help me find it. Three years later I was down sizing my stuff and decided to give my daughter, and other family members some of her books. While I was doing that I saw a small strip of paper stuck to the flap underneath. I pulled it out and when I read it I knew what it was. It was very fitting because Lou-Lou had a wonderful sense of humor. It was her way of having fun with me. So this is from LOU-LOU. The best Mother-in law any girl could of had. Love you and miss you Lippy Lou.
