- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup corn oil
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 lb. can pumpkin (not the pumpkin pie mix)
- 3 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground cloves
- ½ tsp. nutmeg, ground
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Pour into greased loaf pans - 2 9"-loaves or 3 8"-loaves lined on the bottom with Reynolds Parchement paper.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour, checking with a tooth pick to make sure they are done.
NotesI can remember being younger and smelling this when I cam home from school. Try it toasted with butter!
