INGREDIENTS

  • 10-15 slices of bacon
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1 pound pkg.Spaghetti
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 7 tablespoons sugar

DIRECTIONS

DIRECTIONS:


Fry bacon crisp and lay aside. Leave bacon grease in skillet and saute onions until transparent. Place onions in 2-quart saucepan and add tomato juice,hot pepper flakes, salt and pepper and sugar. Cook over low heat for 1 hour, stirring only once or twice. Cook spaghetti 8-9 minutes; drain and put back into pan. Add sauce mixture and cook another 15 to 20 minutes. Crumble bacon and add at the last minute. Serve with salad and hard bread.
