Mom’s Chocolate Pound Cake
1 ½ cups butter, no substitutes
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp baking powder
1 ¼ cup milk
3 cups sugar
3 cups flour
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup cocoa
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs 1 at a time, blending well after each addition.
Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 325° for about 1 hr 25 min.
