Mix food coloring (a couple of drops depending on color preference) and milk.

Let kids paint the bread, with the paintbrush. Make sure it does not get too much paint or it will be soggy toast. (for some reason my toaster doesn't like too much milk..makes funny noises at me if we got a really soaked piece..)

Toast, and then add your jelly, and enjoy. .
